Toshiba Mini NB205 Netbook (Mini Laptop) - A Review
Technical Data: When I think of Toshiba, I think of reliability and longevity. For some time I have always wondered why it still does not enter the netbook market. Toshiba's fans will be thrilled to know that it recently published the mini Toshiba NB205 Netbook. It is a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N280 processor and run 1 GB RAM (expandable to 2 GB). For storage, it comes with a 160 GB hard drive. For connectivity, it is Wi-Fi (802.11b / g) and Bluetooth 2.1activated.
Design: The design of the new Mini Toshiba NB205 netbook would one of the largest retail outlets. It sports a professional / serious. This model measures a total of 10.4 x 7.6 x 2.9 cm and weighs only 2.9 kilograms. The external housing of this model has a matte finish, as opposed to a shiny surface fingerprint magnet. This is a refreshing change of design for the other major netbook models in the market. Generally has a pretty slim and elegantDesign. The only thing that bugs me is the protruding 6-cell battery on the back. The thick frame / panel on the screen is a little distracting. This model is available in a variety of colors.
Features & Performance: The input on the Toshiba NB205 Netbook Mini takes a while to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, it feels very well with the design. The mouse trackpad was very spacious, with large buttons click. Toshiba claims that the Netbook can be up to 9 hours per charge. The last time I did it without plugging into the outlet, it took about 7 hours, which was pretty impressive. The netbook was quite fast. The audio quality from the speaker was only mediocre. Despite its shortcomings, the Toshiba NB205 Netbook Mini all in all a pretty decent netbook and could prove to be a strong competitor to other popular models on the market.
